About Us
The Unknown Children — kids streetwear made in Sydney
We’re a small, family-run Australian boutique making kids streetwear in sizes 1–5. Every piece is ethically made from 100% superior cotton, designed in Sydney, and shipped from our Sydney warehouse — usually within 24 hours of you hitting checkout.
Our story
The Unknown Children was born out of a simple frustration: when we went shopping for our own kids, we couldn’t find streetwear that wasn’t either covered in cartoon characters, made of papery thin fabric that fell apart after three washes, or priced like adult designer clothing.
So we made our own. Clean silhouettes. Real cotton. Limited runs so each piece feels considered, not mass-produced. Designed for kids who climb, dance, draw on themselves, and refuse to take off their favourite hoodie.
The name ‘Unknown Children’ is for the kids who aren’t boxed in by gendered colours, themed prints, or what other brands say a 3-year-old should look like. Our pieces are designed to be worn by anyone, mixed and matched, and passed down when they’re finally outgrown.
What we stand for
Ethically made. Our pieces are produced in India with manufacturing partners we’ve personally vetted. Fair wages, safe workplaces, no shortcuts.
Limited runs. When a style sells out, it’s genuinely gone. No restocks, no fast-fashion cycles. We design what we love, run a small batch, and move on.
Built to last. 100% superior cotton means the tee your kid wears today will probably end up on their younger cousin in two years. We test every fabric ourselves before it goes into production.
Aussie-run, Aussie-shipped. Orders are packed by hand from our Sydney warehouse and dispatched within 24 hours of order. Free shipping Australia-wide on orders over $50.
